ADHD & AUTISM
I am a neurodiverse-affirming and informed therapist; I view autism and ADHD as naturally occurring variants in human neurology. I am accepting and welcoming of people's differences, and I also understand personally and professionally how hard it can be to navigate (and raise children in) a society that is often insensitive, and uninformed.
My work is focused on:
Late-diagnosis autistic and ADHD adults.
Adults and teens who are questioning whether or not they might be neurodivergent.
Partners/spouses of neurodivergent people.
Individuals needing support as they’re navigating caregiving and parenting neurodiverse children.
My approach:
I provide fundamental support and develop individualized wellness strategies with my clients to address: emotional, relational, sensory processing, and executive functioning struggles.
I aid my clients in accessing resources and evaluations (if needed).
I create a safe space for parents and partners to: address/process their feelings, better understand their loved one(s), practice self-compassion and self-care, and explore relational concerns.
I help my clients integrate their neurodivergent identity in an affirming way. Recognizing areas of strength and areas of challenge.
I support people in identifying their needs and how to communicate them.
I work with clients on how to push for various accommodations (as needed).
